WAKEUP CALL FOR ALL CIVIL SERVANTS

Following a meeting involving key district leaders and the Ministry of Local Government, the Chief Administrative Officer Mr. Bukone Richard Sajjabi has issued a strong call to all departmental heads and senior management to strengthen accountability, discipline and service delivery across the district.

while meeting heads of departments and other senior managers, the CAO emphasized that every staff member must remain committed to serving the public and ensuring that government programs achieve their intended objectives.

key directives from CAO

1. Organize citizens barazaas

All departments have been directed to organize open citizens barazas that bring together the majority of the population. These forums should provide an opportunity for communities to receive information, raise concerns, give feedback and participate in monitoring government programs and service delivery.

2. strict adherence to working hours

All staff are expected to be in their offices by 8:00a.m and remain on duty until 5:00 pm . The CAO stressed that the entire working day should be dedicated to official duties and service delivery

3. Recovery of funds from PDM beneficiaries.

The CAO directed Community Development Officers and Parish Chiefs who allegedly collected money from PDM beneficiaries to ensure that funds are paid back without further delay.

4. Staff  should reside within the district.
